Guru Har Krishan Ji became Guru when he was only 5 years old — the youngest Guru.
When he visited Delhi, a terrible disease (smallpox) was spreading. The young Guru helped and comforted the sick people of every religion.

He caught the disease himself and passed away aged just 7. Before he died, he said “Baba Bakale”, meaning the next Guru would be found in the village of Bakala. The place where he stayed in Delhi is now Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, whose holy pool is still visited by people seeking healing.
